Wicklow County Childcare Committee are delighted to invite childminders to a free Paediatric First Aid course specifically for childminders in Co Wicklow.
This course will take place via Zoom, over two evenings.
Attendees must participate on both evenings and pass the practical session to receive their certificate.
The certificate will then be valid for 2 years.
The course will take place on the following days/times:
• Monday 9th September 7-9pm
• Tuesday 10th September 7-9pm
This will then be followed by a 15 minute practical session per participant.
This session will also be done online at a time that suits the participant in the following month.
This course will be delivered by Ciara Dowling of ‘Early Years First Aid’.
“Early Years First Aid was established by Ciara Dowling in 2011. The aim was to provide lifesaving and basic first aid skills in an easy to understand way while covering the key worries of parents and childcare workers.
Ciara is a registered first aid instructor. She has FETAC qualifications in childcare & first aid. She has worked in both private childcare and large corporations. She is a mother of 3 young children and is involved with Community First Responder Groups.”
