Montessori & Afterschool Educator (Term-time position)

Enniskerry Montessori & Afterschool Care require an experienced, caring, and creative teacher to join our small team from the end of August 2023 for the new academic year.  This is a term-time position running from Sept to June each year and the service is closed as per national school holidays (mid-terms / Christmas & Easter)

We are located in Enniskerry Village and have two separate sessions (Montessori & Afterschool).  Our Montessori class is 22 children (max) aged 2.5 to 5yrs and the Afterschool is for Junior infants up to 4th class to ensure the highest standards of care and creating a home from home environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum QQI Level 5in Early Childhood Care and Education or equivalent.
  • Previous Montessori experience (desirable).
  • Knowledge of Aistear, Síolta and the Early Years (Pre-school services) Regulations is essential.
  • Certificate in First Aid and Children First (Child Protection) training would be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication & written skills to document observations, learnings & recoding keeping.
  • Fluent English(essential) and basic knowledge of Irish language (essential).

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

AIM Support
